On Friday 21 September 2018 The Association of Learning Providers in Surrey (ALPS)hosted a wonderful Apprenticeship Graduation Award Ceremony for Apprentices from Surrey.

104 Apprentices graduated at this special event where they were acknowledged for their hard work and commitment in achieving their awards. Speakers included Kwasi Kwarteng, MP for Spelthorne, Brian Woods, Regional Chairman of the FSB, John Furey, Deputy leader of Surrey County Council and Liz Cussans from Woking and Sam Beare Hospice. All spoke about the value that Apprenticeships bring to organisations, employers, individuals and the economy.

The South East Apprenticeship Ambassador Network (SE AAN) were one of the main sponsors of the event. Jayne Boyd, SE AAN Co-ordinator attended the event at Guildford Cathedral as well as the networking business lunch hosted by the Federation of Small Businesses beforehand. Her comments echoed the thoughts of all who attended:

“It was a wonderful celebratory event in a glorious setting which made it all feel quite special. It was also fabulous to see so many proud families and employers there to support the achievement of a such a wide range of Apprenticeships.”
