The County Council’s apprenticeship programme commenced in 2010 and since then has seen well over 400 starts. We offer a broad range of apprenticeships across all our departments and our schools. Our apprenticeship levy contribution is significant and also subject to the public sector target. We actively work with our schools to ensure they promote apprenticeships as a career pathway to their student. We are actively promoting apprenticeships to them to enable their take up of this training for existing employees and to create more apprenticeships entry points for applicants.
We have been an Ambassador since 2015 and keen to be part of the network to promote apprenticeships to more local employers and enable our economy to grow.
