Kent County Council is the largest local authority with a workforce in excess of 30,000, serving a population of 1.4 million. More than two thirds of our workforce provide services directly to the public such a Social workers, Teachers, Occupational Therapists and Care workers. Additionally, some of our service delivery is commissioned out to the market.
Kent has a public sector Apprenticeship target of 457 and contributes £2.2m annually to the apprenticeship levy.
Prior to joining KCC I worked in Financial Services in the private sector and have many years’ experience in Workforce development. I lead on the Apprenticeship and Graduate agendas for KCC.
