I am the learning and development lead for Optalis Ltd. We currently have about 850 staff who all work in adult social care either in our provider services in the community or residential settings, our corporate teams, or in our statutory teams providing social workers and occupational therapists to local council.
I currently have two learning and development practitioner apprentices in my team, both of whom are entering endpoint assessment. And I have just put my senior trainer on her 5-business partner apprenticeship as the progression I have seen in the team’s individual capabilities has made a very positive impact on the team…
I believe that everybody has the potential to succeed in their goals, I believe that apprenticeships are a good way of facilitating this learning.
