TELL US HOW YOU FIRST BECAME AN APPRENTICE:
After applying to numerous companies and being accepted to all of them, they all had to recind their acceptance due to me not being in the country for 3 years upon application. After months of applying elsewhere hoping that someone would take a chance on me, I was finally accepted into an apprenticeship L3 Engineering and am currently still working to complete it.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CURRENT APPRENTICESHIP ROLE:
I’m a Mechatronics engineer. This includes work such as carrying out fault finding on different equipent, reading electrical drawings, carrying out repair and installation of electrical work and components, carrying out risk assessments for all contractors that come on site, and providing training to new starters and filling gaps.
TELL US WHY YOU WANTED TO BECOME AN APPRENTICE AMBASSADOR:
I enjoy being able to connect, network, provide my experience, find out more information, help those who want to become and apprentice, and to prove my work ethic to my employer who took a chance on me.
