TELL US HOW YOU FIRST BECAME AN APPRENTICE:
I began my apprenticeship journey while seeking to progress within my current workplace.
I initially applied for a managerial position, demonstrating my ambition to take on greater
responsibility and develop my leadership skills. Although I was not offered the manager role
at that time, my potential and commitment were recognised by the leadership team. Instead,
I was offered the opportunity to undertake a Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship.
I accepted this opportunity as a valuable pathway to build my experience, strengthen my
supervisory capabilities, and gain a formal qualification within the hospitality industry.
Through this apprenticeship, I have been able to develop key skills in team leadership,
customer service excellence, and operational management, all while continuing to contribute
effectively in my role. This experience has provided a strong foundation for my long-term
career progression into management.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CURRENT APPRENTICESHIP ROLE:
I am currently undertaking a Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship, where I
support the day-to-day running of the business and help ensure high standards of customer
service. My role involves supervising team members, assisting with training, and supporting
management during shifts. This apprenticeship is helping me develop key skills in leadership, communication, and problem-solving, preparing me for progression into a management role within the hospitality industry.
TELL US WHY YOU WANTED TO BECOME AN APPRENTICE AMBASSADOR:
I wanted to become an Apprentice Ambassador to represent and promote the value of
apprenticeships across the UK. My own experience has shown me how beneficial
apprenticeships can be in developing practical skills, building confidence, and creating real
career opportunities. I am passionate about encouraging others to consider this pathway, especially those who
may not be aware of the opportunities available. As an ambassador, I would aim to share my journey, inspire others, and highlight how apprenticeships can support both personal and professional growth.
