TELL US HOW YOU FIRST BECAME AN APPRENTICE:
The university route was heavily pushed when I was in school. I went to university and studied a Psychology degree for four years. However, when I left university I didn’t have the required workplace skills. I felt the best option for me was to look for a business administration apprenticeship to gain skills where they were lacking.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CURRENT APPRENTICESHIP ROLE:
I work for Berkshire Careers hub: bringing together schools, colleges, employers, and apprenticeship providers in local areas across Berkshire. The goal is to make it easier for schools and colleges to improve how they prepare young people for their next steps. My role involves planning events, project management, and general daily administration for our small team.
TELL US WHY YOU WANTED TO BECOME AN APPRENTICE AMBASSADOR:
I have been involved with many apprenticeship informational talks across Berkshire. Mainly talking about my experience and to inspire young people to take an apprenticeship route. I want to expand on that.
