TELL US HOW YOU FIRST BECAME AN APPRENTICE:
I chose to apply for an apprenticeship through the Government’s ‘Find an Apprenticeship’ programme to transition from my career in retail to a corporate environment where I could leverage my analytical skills and unique capabilities. After extensive research, I decided that an apprenticeship provided the ideal platform for personal and professional growth, so I decided to apply for the programme.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CURRENT APPRENTICESHIP ROLE:
In my role, I initially managed financial reports, stock control, under-21 fixtures and away fixture operations. By proposing technical improvements, my managers began entrusting me with more complex tasks, usually reserved for those with a supervisory position, including collating and preparing financial information, delegating tasks to our supporter services team, and contributing to the ticket touting prevention team, where I improved offender detection by over 45%, in addition to my existing responsibilities.
TELL US WHY YOU WANTED TO BECOME AN APPRENTICE AMBASSADOR:
My journey demonstrates that with determination and hard work, anyone can excel in an apprenticeship. I hope that I can inspire others to achieve by sharing my experiences and insights, helping boost confidence and trust that everyone can do the same.
