Tell us how you first became an apprentice:
After successfully completing my A-Levels in Film & TV Production, I began to travel up to London on my days off, seeking work in the film industry. My persistence paid off after two years when I secured my first job as a stand-in alongside Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Holland. Over the next four years, I worked on notable productions including Wonder Woman II, Cruella, and Mission Impossible 8. Initially starting in the Props department, I discovered my passion for engineering and transitioned into the Special Effects department.
Tell us about your current apprenticeship role:
As an apprentice at Ricardo I do a Level 3 Engineering apprenticeship where I rotate around multiple departments to get a real understanding of different engineering principles and a wide understanding of the business.
Tell us why you wanted to become an apprentice ambassador:
I am proud to work in the engineering industry and enjoy telling young peope about the work we do as engineers. I am also proud to have come through the apprenticeship route and want to advocate for apprenticeships in schools and at events.
