TELL US ABOUT YOUR CURRENT ROLE:
As one of the Careers and Apprenticeship Leads at University Hospitals Dorset, I oversee a diverse portfolio of apprentices and play a pivotal role in advancing career development opportunities within the organisation. My responsibilities encompass managing T-levels, Widening Participation initiatives, and Apprenticeship programmes to ensure equitable access for all individuals both within the trust and externally.
I am dedicated to creating supportive pathways for development that can lead to successful careers and apprenticeships. My role involves providing strategic advice and oversight of our apprenticeship offer, guidance, and pastoral support throughout the learners’ educational journeys.
With a strong commitment to inclusivity, I am passionate about fostering an accessible environment that cultivates a diverse and representative workforce.
TELL US WHY YOU JOINED THE APPRENTICESHIP AMBASSADOR NETWORK:
I joined the network to engage with a community that has a focus on raising awareness of apprenticeships and the positive impact that they can have for employers. I also wanted to be part of a collaborative network that shares current information and experiences but also fosters a culture of learning, which ultimately enhances the delivery and support of apprenticeship programs.
