Julie became Premier Foods’ Apprenticeship and Graduate Manager in 2017 in preparation for the management of the Apprenticeship Levy. With a strong knowledge of the business and its people, having been a part of it since 2001, her focus has been on implementing a whole array of different apprenticeships across the business. The company’s aim is to upskill existing talent and recruit new colleagues to support succession. We have colleagues on apprenticeship programmes in engineering, IT, manufacturing, CI, HR, finance, administration, packaging technology, marketing and food science. We’re committed to support apprenticeships so that talented individuals can ‘earn while they learn’.
Premier Foods has been part of the Trailblazer groups for the Food & Drink Standards and plays an active role in working with schools to raise awareness of working in the food industry which needs a pipeline of highly skilled new talent.
